Twisted games
No matter what they say
I don’t wanna play
They haunt me in my sleep

Take away
The weight they lay
Is keeping me up late
Won’t they just let me be?

Too much pressure
Can’t get better
It’s making me numb
They want me that way

Let go
Don’t they know I just wanna be seen?
Just let me breathe

Uh oh
Don’t they know I just wanna be me?
Just let me breathe

Just let me breathe, just let me breathe
Another day
I know it’s never ever gonna be the same
I’m gonna make them see

Too much pressure
Can’t get better
It’s making me numb
They want me that way

Let go
Don’t they know I just wanna be seen?
Just let me breathe

Uh oh
Don’t they know I just wanna be me?
Just let me breathe

Fighting to find my own way
Can’t stop me 'cause this is my day
Ready for change

Not gonna fade
I’m not afraid
I’m ready to come up for air

Let go
Don’t they know I just wanna be seen?
Just let me breathe

Uh oh
Don’t they know I just wanna be me?
Just let me breathe
Just let me
Just let me breathe
Just let me
Just let me breathe
Just let me
Just let me, just let me
breathe

Jacqueline Loor - Just Let Me Breathe ft. Will Evans (Interview)

Interview

Super talented Jacqueline Loor visits us today. It’s a pleasure to hear your music.

Tell us about yourself.

I’m an indie musician who really wants to help people through my music. I love when my music can resonate with someone and make them feel something because that’s when healing can start to happen.

We would like to know your history as an artist.

While I was living in Tenerife, Spain in The Canary Islands in 2018 I found the courage to follow my true passion which was to create music. Growing up in Miami, FL was a bit of a rat race and I never really had a chance to connect to my purpose until the noise quieted down. Tenerife is a special island where it really allowed me to be true to myself.

Tell us the story of this song.

I had just finished Cathy Heller’s Catch the Moon 6 month sync course, which I absolutely loved and would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn more about how to get their music in tv/film and commercials. One of the best things that happened during the course was meeting some really talented and like minded musicians, one of who was Will Evans. Him and I just clicked really well and it was fun collaborating on this track. We both are into some dark modern sounds and we both wanted to pitch this song for sync opportunities but at the same time remain authentic. We really felt we did that because we both connected to the message of this song. The pressures that surround people can really make it hard for someone to just be who they really are. We hope this song helps people shine their authentic self and not let people dim their light. Also, you may end up hearing this track on a TV show in the near future, as we have been getting a lot of love for it in the sync industry.

Tell us a funny story from your career.

A lot of people hear my music and think I’m a really sad and dark person, but I’m really happy, actually probably bordering on obnoxiously happy. My muse is actually my identical twin sister. I’m always trying to give her advice and she usually doesn’t listen so I just write songs about it! I even did a music video for my song "Coming Undone" which is about her and I had to act as myself and her!

Also tell a story of overcoming.

When I was 11 I wanted to try out for "The Little Mermaid" musical in my school so I was practicing one of the songs and I was so excited about it. I remember being on the balcony singing it for my dad looking for his praise and his only words were, "Don’t ever sing again." He is a bit of a tough love kind of dad so when he didn’t hear perfection he didn’t want me to pursue it. That really stayed with me and I honestly didn’t think I could sing for years. It’s crazy how a little rejection from a parent can crush you. P.S. My dad is now one of my biggest fans!

Leave a message for your fans.

I want my fans to know that they are strong and beautiful just the way they are, and not to let the world dim their light.

Jacqueline Loor your voice is beautiful. We love your music. We wish you much success in your career.

And see you in the next interview. Bye!
